HUMMUS REPORT

I'D HEARD about it, been asked about it, even looked for it at my local Target store. At long last, this week at the NASFT Fancy Food Show in San Francisco I finally had a chance to taste through Sonny & Joe's Hummus flavors. The hummus, available only at "super" Target stores that have lots of refrigerator space, is smooth like Sabra Hummus, but it does not have that bitter aftertaste.
I thought I'd love the plain hummus and Mediterranean hummus best, but as it turns out, my favorite was the Buffalo Hummus, a reddish spicy hummus with a kick. It's hot, but not so hot it makes you cough. I did not try the Jalapeno Hummus (I'm a hot-o-phobe) but my companion said it was less hot than the Buffalo and really good.
